Getting Depth
That may be true, I just figured outside of Barkov they really don't have a true #2 C. Sure they are taking a chance on Wennberg but if they still want to compete than Rico would be their guy. I think he would be a great fit for them and we could use a RW prospect.

Hall Rumors
I don't think Hall > Johnny Hockey... It seems more like a lateral move but lots of rumors out there say Hall wants to come home and it wouldn't surprise me if they brought him in and kicked Gaudreau out; especially because they like Mangipane... This was just what I believe would be the scenario for the Flames if the rumors were true. Honestly, even if they weren't going to for Hall; Severson is the kind of RHD the flames could use and if Gaudreau were to go somewhere, NJD would be a great fit for him. The devils could use a strong LW with term and youth to help guys like Hughes, Hischeir, Palmieri, Gusev, Zacha; it would give them a strong top 6 offense to build on. I would have done Gaudreau for Severson + 1st seeing that NJD have 3 picks this year but given how deep the draft is this year, I couldn't realistically see them giving up a pick that good with a RHD who not only has a great contract, is young but also is a solid RHD.

3 Trades - TOR-MON-NYR
Moving Mason for Kapanen is simply because we are weaker in depth on the right side, he is young and can be a top 6 winger; while Mason is going to be 30 near the end of his contract and want a raise. No point in keeping him around during a rebuild even though we have no one really as a RHD, we can get someone younger, cheaper and build around them and let them develop with the rest of the youth. Sell him while he has value and yes I know Mason to leafs has been around for a long time, so why not give the leafs what they want in a cheap RHD and we get a younger winger on the right side instead of being over stocked with LW.
I feel everyone over values Deangelo... I am not saying he is bad, he is a great offensive D and with the Rangers already having a strong hold with Trouba & Fox, he will become the odd man out eventually. With him being an RFA and wanting a raise, it could be an option to move him. The rangers HAVE top 9 forwards in all positions and giving them someone like Jones, Steel, Comtois, Terry doesn't fill any need for areas they want to improve on. Steel isn't going to replace Strome, Zibanejad or Chytil. What do you want to do Rangers fans, have Kakko, Kravstov, Gautheir, Kreider, Panarin, Buchnevich, Lemuix and Howden bugger off for the likes of either Max's and Terry. Rangers need a LHD who is young and can fit their system. Larsson may not put up the points that Deangelo would BUT he sure can help them over the expensive aging Staal or Smith. Given that you also get a high round 2nd pick in a deep draft year when we are trading UNSIGNED RFA's I would say this is pretty fair.
Silfverberg has been on the Habs radar for a few years now. They have youth, they have talent but they need stability and consistency with a player who covers all areas of the ice, can pull off 40pts a season and still manage to shutdown top players while clocking 16-20 minutes a night. There isn't a prospect you would give up outside of another pick. Brook, Fleury and Juulsen are all players we would want in the trade, would you rather give them up over a two 2nd round picks. Maybe it would be St. Louis pick and either Habs or Hawks 2nd but given what other teams got for lesser players this is a deal that the Habs can afford to make without messing their prospects, system or future.

Wishful Thinking
Timmins is a solid prospect probably 1 more season in the AHL before he makes the jump to the NHL but could make the move this season. He holds his own on the back not making any defensive mistakes and has lots of offensive upside; he has great hands and will skate the puck out of the zone. He is exactly what we need for a RD to quarterback the PP.

NJD Trading For The Future
I thought about Wilde or Dobson instead of Sorokin, as the main thing NJD needs right now is Solid D or Goalie... But I figured NYI was good with their current keepers they would risk parting with a prospect for a #1 LW who can give them the offense they need.

Vegas Getting Under The Cap
I think it would have to be a late pick and the rights to Zacha ... If they get his rights and sign him he can be an affordable top 9 player.

Trade Deadline
In the West it is anyone's game for a playoff stop... When you're 2 points out and you need that push at the trade deadline you take a chance.

Hawks
I think if Crawford did come back and either goalies were playing great, they could use it as a trade chip for a team looking at goalie depth near the deadline, I wouldn't send one down to the A ... it is one of those if they play great you can get a great return or if they play bad, it cost you nothing. And the Hawks are like that, look at what they did with Franson last year.

Panarin Problem Solved
The Ducks would never part with Steel as he is their future number 1 C and if anything Max Jones would be the prospect out the door. But I don't think anything else needs to be added to this, considering that Panarin is set to become a UFA and the Blue Jackets get a quality top 4 RHD and solid power forward LW who is NHL ready and not in his prime yet.

Kesler to IR and Perry's Traded
I don't think something like that would go down because the Ducks are looking at getting younger and faster. Speed is really the aim here, dropping Perry for someone faster is what they need.

Bruins Reset
More Beleskey could use the change. Miller has more value than McQuaid and the Aves need D, which is why they make a good trade partner. Then with an open D spot, you give prospect a chance to fill the bottom pairing and you save on cap space because his contract was longer in terms.

Flames Roster
I don't know Pouliot is the odd man out with the Pens, so trading away his rights doesn't mean he actually would sign but I think he would because he would be a regular member on the roster. With Cullen & Bonino gone for the pens they need a strong bottom 6 center, Stajan can fill that role especially with his salary retained. You toss in a prospect like Shinkaruk which gives the pens youth and depth, all for a pick and rights to a player seems balanced to me.
A 2nd for Brouwer may be too much, probably should've went a 3rd but I mean the devils need some help in what he has to offer and it is a cap dump for the flames. I feel the 2nd round pick is good because the devils don't need it and Brouwer is a good player to help build up a reset roster.

Canucks Rebuild
I know Radulov isn't ideal for rebuild but he is really looking for money. So in the long run you pay him and he is happy but most importantly, he helps with Yakupov. All Yakupov needs is someone to guide him and I think Radulov would be a great fit for him so that in a future you could have a line that is Yakupov/Horvat/Radulov.
