Disagree on Zary and Pelletier. Them getting into the show is best case scenario for them, Pelletier is proof, he's already demolishing the AHL. This line setup is just preliminary, we have like 10 players who can shift around. Similar players (Jarvis, Krebs, McMichael, Tomasino) are all excelling.

Don't mind the Johnny and Bennett deal if we are in fact selling it all. The Sean trade is not nearly enough. I get that his value is depressed right now with his play, but he is still the leading goal scorer of the 2013 draft (ahead of Nate Mack). No point in picking up another goalie prospect at the moment, need a centre to be replacing Sean with long-term.

Honestly, props for making me more optimistic over my morning coffee. I was ready to commit a horrible crime this morning.

Only major things I disagree with are the lines. While I agree getting Monahan especially away from top competition is needed, I we have never seen Johnny and Sean thrive apart, ever. I think Samuel can still offer us something in the bottom six. I do agree he add's nothing on that Dube/Lucic line, they need someone like Backlund/Monahan/Mangiapane who can bury after they put in the work and retrieve the puck.

Assuming Lucic waives, which was almost 100% discussed when he was traded for. Tre is way too smart to trade for Milan without knowledge that he would waive. Also, what younger Dmen? I suppose Kylington, but you really think Seattle would pass on Backlund/Tanev for Kylington? If they did, good for us.

I think everyone is getting pretty damn excited about Oliver Kylington. Can someone inform me what he has done to warrant this? I understand he has not been any Calgary coaches favourite child, but the guy has some major inabilities in his own end. I think keeping the core of this team together, and paying a 3rd (which we got from a stupid GM 3hrs north) is pretty worthwhile. We also have D prospects I think people are sleeping on (Kinvall, Mackey, Yelesin).

Also, just because Lucic waives to help the team is in no way guaranteeing or even hinting that he'll be selected. The **** would Seattle ever do that for.

I think you are also forgetting that the biggest asset is the 7th pick. Assuming they didn't want to take Drysdale or Sanderson here, they could easily be getting Holtz, Rossi who you could make a good argument will get to Laine's level.
