That’s would be tough. I think Othmann would be more likely. Perrault is a can’t miss imo he’s got it all

But if I listen to those salty Ducks fan I should give Reinbacher, slafkovsky and my next 13 first round pick for Zegras lol</div></div>
Very few prospects at Reinbacher's level ever get traded.
In top-25...maybe once every couple of years.
In 26-50...a few each year
51-100...all the time

I actually think the rangers go after him in the summer, only if Chytils status is up in the air. Which is possible

Next year
By the way, Sens can't afford to do this... Yes they save 0.6 AAV with a Brannstrom-Harris swap (but is a downgrade) but then add 2.225 by having Dvorak, which is like THE reason why Pinto isn't signed right now (Dorion has no idea what he is doing though)
I appreciate the effort but not what the Sens would be looking for and there's been way better offers made by other fanbases.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chevy074</b></div><div>My thinking was that Ottawa wants player more than future pick since you guys are opening your winning window. Dvorak is a good 3C and at 2,225M cap hit will be cheaper than Pinto. Harris is a upgrade on Brannstrom from a defensive perspective and is carrying a 1.4M cap hit. You guys have enough offensive defenseman with Chabot, Chuchrun and Sanderson.</div></div>
I didn't consider Dvorak because don't really ant him but at 2.225 it wouldn't be bad and the contract expires after next season. Could be a decent stop gap but at the same time, if Pinto is not there, Greig is 100% the 3rd line center, he's already quite good and just turned 21 y/o
Brannstrom is NOT an offensive D-man at all, he's a 2-way PMD who is excellent in recoveries and transition. Harris is 10 months younger so maybe he builds on a pretty decent last year but Brannstrom was better. Look at the red dot for 2022-23 :

Montreal are obviously not giving up their own first so they would be need to acquire one if it’s what Ottawa is asking. Thought that could be another Dach-Newhook type of trade for the habs. Not likely it will happen because of the rivalry but who knows.
You guys are looking great this year can’t wait for a heated habs sens battle 👊</div></div>

I think he has a spot on trade. Jets would love Dvorak and Barron will fit well on defence especially being a bigger guy and Justin would get to play with his brother Morgan. JETS ACCEPT!

Suck hard for Bedard
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chevy074</b></div><div>We need help on the right side and I think LA having too much RHD can be a great team to trade with. Harris doesn’t provide nothing unique like Guhle, Xhekaj and Matheson and with Hutson coming up, he could be a trade piece to try and bolster up that right side. With Durzi we have a balanced defense pool with Guhle, Hutson + Xhekaj on the left and Durzi, Barron and Mailloux on the right.</div></div>
Would rather send Edmundson retained for Durzi and balance it out with other pieces if necessary. I'm not stuck on Harris but he fits the timeline much better than Eddy.

You also forgot our best prospect on defense: Kaiden Guhle! Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are building this team the right way and now developpement becomes the #1 priority if MTL do get Bedard or even two top 10 picks.
Honestly as a habs fan I think you guys deserve a cup run! You have a great team, just need to improve that defense! A guy like Chychrun would be insane for you.</div></div>
How did I forget Guhle, what a stud. I'm a huge sucker for teams that are ran like the Habs. Kent Hughes did rebuilding right, has created a fantastically fun team, and will reap the rewards for years to come. I'm looking forward to seeing the Leafs Habs rivalry truly rekindled. Also, I'm hoping for a cup run before you Habs and Sabres get <em>really</em> good

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chevy074</b></div><div>we deserve a generational player, don’t have one since Guy Lafleur.</div></div>
Honestly, you do. Kent Hughes has been such a dream for you guys. A core of Slafkovsky, Bedard, Caufield, Dach, Suzuki, Roy, Mysak, Barron, Harris, Beck, Mesar, Kidney, Farrell, Hutson, etc. could easily run a dynasty. The amount of talent he has accumulated over just the last few seasons is ungodly, and now there is a distinct possibility the Habs get Bedard AND another insane prospect. Just imagine you guys get Bedard at 1 and then snatch Mitchkov with Florida's pick. As a hockey fan, I'm glad a franchise as storied and electric as the Habs has a genuinely insane future, but as a Leafs fan I am slightly terrified

Hmmm, relevant point ... Toffoli should be kept in that case even if he would net the biggest return among the wingers that habs could conceivably trade.

To be honest - I don't think they will rebuid this year - they will trade the UFA and RFA unlikely to resign this year... but they will wait an see next year, after a long offseason where all players will comeback healthy.
Because on paper, habs are not terrible. They are very deep on the wings and OK at center.
They need to fix Petry... but the D is good with all the prospect coming up. Guhle, Romanov, Harris, Xekhaj, Norlinder, Mailloux.
If they start playing terrible once again, then the rebuild will be triggered.
We'll get a top 5 five pick this year... and next year they will propably trade the UFAs again, but keep the guys undercontract. Drouin will leave, Byron will be traded (maybe resigned cheap afterwards), Hoffman will be gone. They will keep guys signed to term as it will become increasingly difficult to bring players to Canada in the next few years because of the pandemic.
I know <a href="/users/F50marco" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@F50marco</a> disagree with this approach, but I believe that's what they will do.

Dvorak has done well with...? 1G, -13 after 13 games. Know it's early and the Habs have struggled but be real. After the fiasco of an offseason the Habs had you should hope that Dvorak could become your 2C. His pedigree has him as a 3C right now and like Coyle in Boston if he's at the 2C spot it's by default.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chevy074</b></div><div>Toffoli would be worth more than Frost though. He’s not necessarily on the trade block, but his contract is easy to trade. He scored 28G in 52GP, and MTL has too much RW with Caufield coming up and Anderson’s, Gallagher’s are hard to trade.
Let’s make a trade on the spot, would you do Sanheim, Frost. For Toffoli and a 2nd</div></div>
I'd say probably, but it'd almost certainly have to be an offseason trade and it'd largely depend on how Toffoli and Frost in particular perform down stretch. Not a bad baseline for a trade though
