Ahahaha tbh it’s more fun looking at those salty people crying at your post than doing my AGM. It just makes my night and I sleep like a baby knowing those baby’s are mad lol

So reading Comment #1 above in your own thread was beyond you?</div></div>
Well I don’t have all day to look at AGM I do it when I’m bored and my gf is sleeping lol

I just think he’s more ready. Been selected for the AHL All-Star in his first year pro. I would give Reinbacher one full year in the AHL next year and then promote him to NHL.
But if I listen to those salty Ducks fan I should give Reinbacher, slafkovsky and my next 13 first round pick for Zegras lol

Now seriously, would you trade Juraj Slavkovsky for that garbage?
Before you answer, in his first 81 games, Slavkovsky has recorded 25 points. In his first 99 games, Zegras scored three times that many.</div></div>

To be honest I haven’t seen the Nucks play all year, so I don’t know how Blueger is playing for you guys. I only remember Blueger being on a 4th line in Pittsburgh and I thought center depth would be good for you guys. But you’ve seen more Nucks games that I have so you are probably right. Anyways I think that with retained salary Dvorak should get some attention at the deadline, if not in the off-season

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sens65</b></div><div>Habs should use some of that cap space on a top four defenseman, a goalie, and at least one top-nine forward.</div></div>
The thing is we don’t really need to use that cap space for a top 9 forward or top 4. I rather see playing Roy and Hutson at those spots than signing free agents that don’t represent our future. I will agree for a goaltender, but Monty has been consistent this year and Primeau has been surprisingly good and we have Fowler (who might be the #1 for team USA at the WJC) in the pipeline. So I think we should be patient and trusting our young player development instead of wasting unnecessary money

My thinking was that Ottawa wants player more than future pick since you guys are opening your winning window. Dvorak is a good 3C and at 2,225M cap hit will be cheaper than Pinto. Harris is a upgrade on Brannstrom from a defensive perspective and is carrying a 1.4M cap hit. You guys have enough offensive defenseman with Chabot, Chuchrun and Sanderson.
Montreal are obviously not giving up their own first so they would be need to acquire one if it’s what Ottawa is asking. Thought that could be another Dach-Newhook type of trade for the habs. Not likely it will happen because of the rivalry but who knows.
You guys are looking great this year can’t wait for a heated habs sens battle 👊

Yeah I know I was personally against starting Slafkovsky in Montréal. These are kids, let them grow and develop. If Smith wants to go to NCAA. I would resign Monahan to a 1 year deal and try to have a good return at the deadline, assuming he’s healthy.

Suck hard for Bedard
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Nathaniel</b></div><div>Honestly, you do. Kent Hughes has been such a dream for you guys. A core of Slafkovsky, Bedard, Caufield, Dach, Suzuki, Roy, Mysak, Barron, Harris, Beck, Mesar, Kidney, Farrell, Hutson, etc. could easily run a dynasty. The amount of talent he has accumulated over just the last few seasons is ungodly, and now there is a distinct possibility the Habs get Bedard AND another insane prospect. Just imagine you guys get Bedard at 1 and then snatch Mitchkov with Florida's pick. As a hockey fan, I'm glad a franchise as storied and electric as the Habs has a genuinely insane future, but as a Leafs fan I am slightly terrified</div></div>
Love to see that there is some Nice leafs fan out there!
You also forgot our best prospect on defense: Kaiden Guhle! Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are building this team the right way and now developpement becomes the #1 priority if MTL do get Bedard or even two top 10 picks.
Honestly as a habs fan I think you guys deserve a cup run! You have a great team, just need to improve that defense! A guy like Chychrun would be insane for you.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PuckLuck_77</b></div><div>I'd do that as an LA fan.</div></div>
I think it’s a fair trade. LA have too much RHD (Doughty, Clarke, Roy, Spence) and not a lot of LHD. Harris can become a good 4th or 5th d-man in the NHL. The first round pick is because I think Durzi has a high ceiling and could become a top pair defenseman, but again, I haven’t seen him play a lot but I do like what I saw when I watched him

We need help on the right side and I think LA having too much RHD can be a great team to trade with. Harris doesn’t provide nothing unique like Guhle, Xhekaj and Matheson and with Hutson coming up, he could be a trade piece to try and bolster up that right side. With Durzi we have a balanced defense pool with Guhle, Hutson + Xhekaj on the left and Durzi, Barron and Mailloux on the right.

That isn’t a lowball lol. Montreal has to set a standard for their contract and it’s that nobody gets more than Suzuki, their captain. And this trade is for 23-24. At some point, only drafting doesn’t garante you succes, if a good player is available and you need to go for them, just like Hughes did for Dach.
