First overall
CBJ isn't trading their 1st this year at all (probably Bedard, but SJ might be able to get Bedard). If you think about it, CBJ would get an 8th overall pick in Kasper, a ~10OA pick and a 16-20 pick for Bedard, which is insanely low. It's certainly possible that the team with the 1OA pick this year wouldn't even trade it for the 2OA and 3OA pick.

Alright Then
If MTL adds Barron/Guhle/Harris or a 1st round pick this year then WPG probably accepts.

Canucks trade solid player thats on LTIR and get a good depth player and picks
Don't think that VCR will trade Mikheyev so soon unless he regresses a lot. Even though Beauvillier has worked well on a line with Kuzmenko and Pettersson, he could be flipped for a lot in the summer (or next years' tdl) if VCR isn't in the playoff race for some reason. VCR probably still want the Milstein discount :tearsofjoy

If Newhook were to request a trade Obviously this is very unlikely to everoccur
Canucks decline instantly. They are certainly not trading for a 3C (unless they get a bargain) and will probably look towards singing Barbashev in FA (he is a Dan Milstein client). Don't think that the Canucks would give up their '25 1st either, especially if they just stay in mediocrity for a long time. Most of the Nucks' top prospects (Lekkerimäki, Räty, Klimovich and Karlsson?) won't be reaching their full potential until '25. I don't think that Demko will be able to save the team by posting a .925+ next season playing 60+ games, despite his amazing play since returning from injury.

Honestly could see it
WPG says no, they aren't giving up Scheifele for (what is now) a 10OA pick in '23 and a 2nd. Scheifele, despite his recent play, is still on track for 40+ goals and is still a PPG player at his best.

Just another trade
MTL aren't giving up FLA's 1st in '23, will probably be a top 16 pick and the '23 draft is a stacked draft, and that pick could potentially become something close (or better) to PLD especially if they get Yager, Sale or Sandin-Pelikka to drop to them. Barron is also a B+ prospect, and is an RHD which inflates his value.

Edmunson gone
Don't think that Edmundson would slot in anywhere in BUF's top 6 D. Don't think that he is the caliber of a 7th D and the Sabres already acquired Stillman (who is a defensive liability imo) as a 7th D.

Toews to Seattle
Sprong and 2 2nd rounders is likely the most that COL would get for Toews. Toews is also expiring next season and not sure if SEA will be able to get him locked up especially if they want to go after a 2C in the market (or a top 6 winger) in FA this summer.

Whats Weegar Cost Curious
Weegar won't get moved by the Flames at all. Don't think that his 6.25x8 contract would be taken on by anyone at all, especially if the cap only rises by $1M next season. Don't think the Flyers would give up Sanheim either.

Canucks firesale Miller to Columbus and Boeser Demko Myers to Minnesota
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ShinyMew76</b></div><div>Zero chance that Columbus gives up any picks. If they make any moves it will be them selling hard. They have no reason to trade for a pending UFA</div></div>
Miller’s not a pending UFA, he’s signed for 7 years @ 8M after this season finishes. I doubt that CBJ ever makes this trade, especially considering what JT Miller has done this season. I’m sure that he’d be a “great leader” for all the young players in Columbus. Maybe he’d mentor Bedard 😂

TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS
Kempe/Turcotte (by themselves) is worth a lot more than Muzzin and Di Giuseppe. LA reject, and so do the Canucks, even though the value is good. They aren't giving up on Hughes who is their franchise D. They won't be able to resign Bunting at all (unless they trade at least 2 of Boeser, Horvat and Kuzmenko), and the Leafs' 1st will probably be a late pick who won't be an impact player anytime soon. Amirov's future is uncertain and the Canucks don't need Kempe as they already have a lot of good players in their Top 9.

Potential trade
Bad trade for NY. There is no need for them to get Allen as they already have Shesterkin who can play 60+ games in a season easily. Halak has a lower cap hit than Allen and on top of that, they are giving up a 1st with him and getting a 2nd back.

Seattle became a beast
Nashville declines. They aren't giving up Askarov and two 2nds as they are trying to compete (both the 2nd rounders will be late ones). I don't think that Askarov is ready to be an NHL starter yet either.

This should be interesting
Seattle declines. Schwartz is a legitimate Top 6 forward (despite being somewhat of an injury prone) and still has massive upside and is locked in for 4 more years. Zucker is a regressing player who is kind of overpaid and can’t find anything close to his form back in Minnesota.

Just For Laughs
Dallas is getting ripped off by Colorado. No way they would move Heiskanen and Robertson anyway. The Dal-Col trade doesn’t make sense for both sides either, the Avs can’t afford to take on Heiskanen, they need to resign MacKinnon and can’t let him walk in FA. Toronto is also massively overpaying to clear cap as well.

Room to sign Sandin
Winnipeg declines. They’re barely being paid anything to take on Muzzin’s contract. Why is Toronto even taking DeMelo back? He’s not a 7th D and would probably be ahead of Sandin on the depth chart

Depth Fleecing
Colorado declines. Even though Engvall is a good Top 9 depth piece his contract expires after this season and I doubt that Colorado can resign him since they also have to resign MacKinnon (upwards of 10M), Kerfoot and potentially Compher if they don’t want to let him go. Kaut is still showing promise in the AHL despite being a mid pick in 2018 and could potentially be a Top 6 forward (late bloomer).

Monstrosity
No chance Philly gives up their 1st at all. Why is Toronto even retaining 50% on Kerfoot? They literally just flip JVR to the Yotes. I don’t see Toronto giving up picks either, if this was to happen they’d be without their own 2nd rounder from 2022-2025. Why isn’t Toronto giving Sandin to Philly instead? Makes a lot more sense. The Philly 1st rounder covers the cap dumps in JVR and Muzzin, but why even bother acquire Philly’s 1st rounder? This basically just means that Toronto is giving up Nylander to clear up 5M in cap (once all the trades and retention is accounted for)

A pair of Nics to Calgary
Ari doesn’t need Kylington at all (they are rebuilding) and they are certainly not giving up any high picks (1st/2nds). Vegas are saving cap space by giving away both Hague and Roy but they are massively overpaying the Flames. I don’t think either Ruzicka or Valimaki would get much playing time in Vegas.

Wpg - MTL - CHI
Both the Jets and the Habs reject. Habs will not give up their first round pick, they are a rebuilding team. I don't think Kane and Toews would waive for the Habs and the Jets. They want to be traded to a cup contender. The Jets are literally giving up their entire top line, Schmidt, Vesalainen (a good prospect), Heinola (a good prospect) and a 1st for 3 cap dumps in Dvorak, Byron and Anderson. The Jets probably wouldn't be able to resign Toews or Kane either

Buffalo gets a defensemen
Buffalo don't need a defenseman, they just signed Lyubushkin and they have 6 NHL defenseman. In no way is Johnson going to be a 7th D. His contract expires in one year also and he'll probably retire. Johnson is worth a 4th at best

Vegas declines. They probably have to take in extra cap after resigning Zadina, he's basically a bust already. Theadore is a proven Top 4 D who is on a good contract, and he is certainly worth more than Hronek, Zadina and a 2nd.

I don't think the Islanders are that desperate for depth as they have a plethra of prospects, but I think that 2 2nd rounders is a good fetch for Pageau.
