the Bedard Sweepstakes yotes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMMHL2012</b></div><div>What fans think is usually nonsensical.
Arizona in a rebuild would stockpile as many picks as possible, you never know when that 6th round pick turns into something, so, in reality no GM would trade that for two goons who can't skate, when they can sign Chiasson and Eakin if they want two goons who can't skate and that "hey you never know 6th rounder"</div></div>
No one actually would trade a 6th in real life but here in this fake GM world full of whining and overvaluation… the 6th isn’t actually being picked in a hypothetical draft so who cares. At least it’s deterrent from some of the crazies

It's a bad comp. Not realistic imo.
A better one would be the Manson trade. Helleson + 2nd.

Engvall odd man out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MatthewsFan</b></div><div>Do yourself a favor and at least look at things before you type.
BOS currently has waived Mike Rielly (3,000,000), Nick Foligno (3,800,000) and Chris Wagner (1,350,000) in the minors (thats a little over 8mil in salary just sitting in the minors lol) I can only imagine what you'd be saying if Kyle Dubas had that much salary buried in the minors.
They just signed Stralman for 1 year a 1mil. So now once Marchard and McAvoy are healthy will still need to waive another player and have a 22 man roster.
And yes, TBL is taking advantage of having Seabrook on LTIR.
It is absolutely less than ideal to have 21 man roster (which the Leafs can have starting Thursday) and a roster decision will have to be made once Liljgren is healthy, but again, this is not just a Leafs issue. lol</div></div>
Why were discussing the cap and wrote that that Tampa and Boston are in far better situation than Seabrook and MacAvoy are on long term LTIR. Has nothing to do with the Bruins having wasted 8m in bad signings and have them in the minors. Want to discuss stay on topic and facts I can only imagine what you'd be thinking if you understood the cap.
Good bye to those who can't write honestly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMMHL2012</b></div><div>Absolutely, but I guess another way to look at it is, how many teams would love a 23 yo right handed D, with offensive upside on a 2 year $1.7M contract.
Most teams I would guess, so, more teams = bidding war = overpaying.</div></div>
Yeah, like I said, I wasn't sure of his value and I wanted to start somewhere and see where discussions went. It also doesn't have to be Durzi but I imagine he would be the easiest to acquire out of Roy, Walker, Durzi and Spence LOL. We just need a top 4 RD

A deal that helps the Leafs and Coyotes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CapFriendlysFinest</b></div><div>I understand the want for picks back for cap relief but this is more of a situation of getting better for both teams. Leafs don't need to move Engvall at all, Lilly is likely weeks away and makes a strong case to be a player the Leafs rely on for PK and possibly PP. He does not have a high cap hit for what he will likely produce making him a player of value, not a negative value. I hate this idea of every bad team HAS to get picks back for players. It is not true. Arizona is in a situation where Engvall immediately makes them better. This isnt a Ritche situation or a Marzek one where the Leafs are actively looking to move them because their bad. This is a situation that allows Arizona to get better at a cheap price for someone who likely plays on their top 6. If you were a rebuilding GM and someone said he would you like a young, speedy, large player who will likely play in your top 6 this season and onwards play in your top 9 for a 4th round pick, and you said no! I want picks back, the other GM just hangs up the phone.</div></div>
Does AZ want to get better this year or do they want to suck and be much better 2-3 years from now.

Yeah, I just added Harris and a 3rd to get the discussion started. I kind of thought I was under paying for Durzi but wasn't sure what else to add. I just think with the amount of RD the Kings have and the amount of LD/LD prospects the Habs have they would make good partners.

I think we'd have to add a lot more than a 3rd to get this done. Maybe 2 x 2nds or a 1st.

Haha. Worse for who? As a CHI fan, I just don't want to be associated with awful ACGM's like this one. No offense to OP. I would love some of these returns. But they are super unrealistic for the most part.

Montreal needs a RHD, so, Dvorak + Kidney for Deangelo?...
If Philly was smart, they would take the Coots and Ellis situation as an opportunity to blow it up and rebuild, but Fletcher is a moron, so that won't happen.</div></div>

We cannot rely on Mailloux whatsoever. He's essentially just a name on the depth roster until we get some other prospects.
But I do agree on 1 for 1 Mysak/Lundkvist. No picks necessary so if they want something else for Nils, they can just take something else.

Great Lineup with Milano
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMMHL2012</b></div><div>That's the thing, Milano - Zegras - Terry.
Milano was a plug on that line, they in no way needed him, Terry and Zegras were at 0.90 ppg paces with Milano at 0.6-ish.
Milano can step up and play with good players, but in no way makes the team better on his own.
Poor Pelletier, getting stuck with Rooney and Lucic though. lol</div></div>
Yeah, I mean, I don't think you're wrong at all...I guess the main issue is that, as a Ducks fan, it was usually either Milano or Derek Grant there, and Grant had 11 points in his last 12 games (and he ain't good...)
