<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>Your opinion vs my opinion. I'm going off what Carolina is seeking. We don't know what teams are willingly offering aside from Boston and Vancouver who just didn't have the pieces the canes were looking for.

Carolina wants value. You know why? Because they are giving value.

Your opinions on "this team won't involve this, ever" Is just your speculation. Not what's true.</div></div>

Okay, show me the reports that say Carolina is seeking Wright, Rossi, etc

But I think the part you're missing here is just because Carolina wants these players doesn't mean they're available. You seem to think Carolina wanting them means they're on the table and worth discussing.

At the very least, the difference seems to be I'm trying to explore viable, realistic trades for Necas, and you're just plugging your ears and saying "I don't care what Seattle is interested in, I want Wright".

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>Your opinion, doesn't make it right.

And the best thing is how you parrot the Fiala trade comp, as if trade history really holds any value with anything. It doesn't.

Should I look back to the Jeannot trade comp?
How about when Hagel was worth two firsts+ before he even hit 40 points?
Lindholm getting a haul during a very mediocre season?

Should I bring up guentzel? Wait, I can't. His return was very underwhelming.

Trade comps are never viable. GM's change their minds like the weather</div></div>

We can absolutely bring up Jeannot and Hagel

Both were traded because they had team control that was incredibly cheap, they also brought defensive play (for the PK and otherwise), and size, grit, physicality too. Necas is none of those things, so why would he return that value for the reasons Jeannot and Hagel did?

Yeah, and if you read any of what I put in the description, the players listed above don't mean they ALL have to come attached with a first. </div></div>

I don't think you understand. I'm not interpreting it as you thinking they all come back + a 1st. I'm telling you they are not available to you, for Necas, even straight up.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>
If it was wright, for example, he'd be the centerpiece and come back with a 2nd or a good roster player. </div></div>

Wright wouldn't be involved, at all. Not with a good roster player, not with a 2nd, not straight up.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>
Two mid pieces don't add up to one good piece,</div></div>

Correct, which is why you're not getting the one good piece from those teams.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>
that's not how the "math" works with young NHL players. A Necas trade in an ideal situation is a 1 for 1 or a 2 for 1 where the extra piece evens out the value a little bit. The perfect example is Drysdale + 2nd for Gauthier.</div></div>
That's great except Necas doesn't command the type of pieces you're asking for as center pieces (some, not all). You're not getting Wright+2nd for Necas, you're getting a less valuable prospect or young roster player + 2nd for Necas.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FlameFlameFruit</b></div><div>
I'm not asking for a top 10 first and Shane Wright. I'm asking for decent value. Not a late first and a meh prospect. That's not what Carolina is looking for and have already reportedly turned down crappy proposals.</div></div>

You are asking for more than decent value.

Carolina can turn down all the proposals they want but they're not getting pieces like I already mentioned as the center piece.
