I think you're spot on with the Fantilli projection. I also think he'll be in the neighborhood of 25-30-55.

He'll get whatever he can handle. Just throwing him on the top line and letting him figure it out is a terrible development tactic though.

My guess is he'll nail down the second line center role in camp. Boone is too reliable on the dot and defensively to be displaced that soon, but I could see over the course of the season Fantilli getting more 1st line opportunities.

Lack of linemate and coaching support definitely had an impact, but I also want to add that I think his anticipation and skating made him noticeably a step behind all season. There were countless incidents where he got a late jump on a play and couldn't get into the right places.

He has a mature attitude and great work ethic, so I think he can spend some time in Cleveland over the next year or two and figure it out. He'll get callups and NHL games, but he needs time to really focus on his game.

I'm rooting for him. I hope he comes into camp this year and makes a statement and takes the 2C job, but if I'm being realistic, I just don't think it happens. I predict he'll get beat out by Vronk for the 3C job and start the year in the AHL.
