<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>zibby805</b></div><div>Think Anaheim has already been shopping getzlaf. I think it solves cap after one year of being very tight. 4/5 yr contracts would be gone creating 9 mil next year for Coleman and goody who are more valuable than killorn or Johnson. Anaheim would do it for all their getting back for a player that will walk in the offseason anyway. Especially since Johnson has made it known he wants to be picked by whatever teams he’s on to go to Seattle.</div></div>
MOSTLY agree but I don't put Goodrow ahead of Killorn in value .. he younger but Killorn is gritty CAREER .5 pts/game player who doesn't get hurt and coming off his best year of 6 year career so far .. 3 years at $4.4 AAV with no NTC clause next year? .. huge value.. I like Goodrow but ill take current/near future ability vs. potential
Related note .. I would take Coleman over both .. Coleman could be 5 year $20M contract next year

They absolutely had trade discussions.. you don't ask him if he open to waive if your not considering .. hockey is a business and it right move .. we just dominated NHL for Cup without him.
With that said ship has sailed for this year.. he MAY go on LTIR depending when season starts.. lot of people waiting on when season will start.to make moves

Getting out of cap hell by any means necessary
I think these make sense for Tampa .. bite bullet now on TJ and Gourde .. HAVE to get rid of $20M and $26M respectively .. TJ part of "old Tampa" and Gourde a 3rd/4th line grinder making 4X too much ...clear skies if these 2 disappear ASAP and team will be BETTER than last year .. scary

I laugh at these Red Wing fans who think they are relevant .. deal above for Stamkos is steal.for Detroit .. unless any leadership comes to Detroit .. all those picks a waste ...

A tight fit
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NMAvsFan</b></div><div>I think that's what they would prefer to do but those NTC's are killing them. Their only possible reprieve at the moment is if Stammer goes on LTIR</div></div>
Not sure of that .. COVID and flat cap is killing player market .. they all know that and it will be WORSE for next couple years. Teams will be breaking those clauses left and right .. for example all Tampa players were asked to waive except top 4 .. Stamkos was asked.to waive ...every team is doing the same .. look for 20 more "Tyler Jonson scenarios" where he ultimately is waived and then dealing can begin ..

Could work.. although Killorn probably better going to a contender than rebuilding Kings team. Killorn has immense value ... performance, contract and leadership .. REALLY hope Tampa keeps him and ships out Gourde

Trades
I think something like this makes sense for Tampa. HAVE to bite bullet now. Hopefully TJ and Gourde only cost us 2nds and pieces but do whatever it takes.
The comment above on "hurting" Columbus UFA potential.. I think EVERYONE understands the COVID impact of this AND next year .. if there aren't fans next year a few teams are in trouble financially .. making hard decisions and frankly ignoring NTCs NMCs and above scenario aren't ideal for players .. but they understand it

For the LAST time .. Johnson will take anything that puts him on an NHL roster.. it is VERY naive to think he still actually has a say .. no chance he ever plays for Tampa again and he is fighting for his NHL life..

Would love both these trades from Tampa side but doubt other side would
On Johnson .. he would waive to go to ANY team.. to think otherwise is silly.
He fighting for his NHL career

so--- what
Deal like this makes sense for Tampa .. similar to a Tyler Johnson deal .. we give up draft pick and retain small money for Gourde and Tyler .. those 2 are $11M or say $9M savings after $2M retain .. about what we realistically need for the 3 RFS .. FYI Tampa flat cap WORSE next year as Goodrow and Colemen are UFAs

Targeting good targets
Typical uninformed Bruins fans.. Killorn has AVERAGED over .5 pts / game his whole career.. 6 years .. with last year his best .. he inclining not on decline .. durable.. plays goalie screener on 1PP .. gritty scorer .. I am also a Bruina fan so watch alot .. Bjork sucks .. Debrusk inconsistent... Kase who knows .. Ritchie sucks .. Killorn would be best Bs middle size wing BY ALOT .. including Smith who I do like

3team Johnson move
Here's to no longer saying dude anywhere .. if you are, be better.
At EOD .. Tyler will cost a 2ndish .. he does have "cap value" of $1.5M (he owed less cash than AAV) plus his NTC gone next year and Seattle draft. . So 3 "good" things to help trade .. he still a good 3C for 1/3 of the league; particularly Western teams ... I don't have concern.
My heartburn is Killorn .. no need to go through how solid he is in virtually ever level of performance contract and leadership... I would rather buy out Yanni Gourde NOW .. saves $3.5M this year but is a long 6 year buyout of around $18M .. but take it NOW .. keep Killorn and win another!!!!!

That said im really interested in what they do here considering nobody has cap space, my best guess is they trade cerrili sign serg buyout johnson
Or do a bunch of contract swaps of lesser value but bad players</div></div>
I still see them resigning all RFAs ...it lower AAV and usually 2 to 3 years long which is perfect time with exits of Stamkos McDough Palat etc. and Cap opens up ... "timing" fits for Tampa
What COULD happen .. besides TJ and Gourde who are top 2 trying to be dealt/dumped .. is trade Coleman or Goodrow .. both have 1 more year at 1M to 2M are rock solid and have high value.. it cost us THREE #1s for these 2 but we did win Cup .. if we can't afford to sign them next year .. why not trade them now?!!!!!

McDonough could be a solid trade piece to a Colorado or Boston .. Cup contenders who lack a shut down 1D .. he ain't fancy but helps Hedmen be megastar by eating minutes and handling PK .. mentors/hides Sergachev AND is shut down pair with Cernek.. HUGE value add to Colorado.and Bruins and would be sorely missed in Tampa
