Ditto! Like the explanations. Doubt the EDM trade goes through because I don't think it's a trade that really pushes them to the next level of contending in the playoffs but it's still pretty fair. You may need to add a bit more on the Ho-Sang trade but it's pretty close. Overall though, solid first ACGM better than a lot that I see from guys who have done these for years because they are just so biased towards their team.

If you're wanting to compete, trading away Zadina (one of our best prospects if he still counts as a prospect) for a wayyy worse prospect is not that way to do it. Trade him away for some stellar older talent if you wanted to compete. Not saying I'd want to do this, trading him away in general would be a huge mistake in my eyes.

Buyout period is over currently for the red wings so they cannot buy out Nielsen and why trade Bobby for so little. I think we flip him at the deadline especially if he turns his game around this year which I think is quite possible. He seems a lot more motivated to do well and is off the booze.

Edit: Also, that Johnson return is a bit slim.

Have you seen him play recently? In Europe, he's lighting it up and he was doing pretty well near the end of last year and has shown tremendous progress in my mind. I'd say give him this year to surprise you if not then sure you can be down on him.

Raty is not a guarenteed #1 there are still like 4 players evenly fighting for that spot this draft. I think Red Wings will still probably be a bottom 5 if not bottom 10 team so they will have a solid chance at getting him. Also, a lot of people make these ACGMs in hopes of what they want to happen.

I know exactly who he is and you clearly don't know anything about the Red Wings if Nielsen and Filppula are interchangeable to you lol. Hronek would still be better than Pettersson. Petterson's contract also isn't the best nor is Johnson (One of the biggest cap dumps right now) so we would be taking on 10+ million for multiple years when we are rebuilding and could use that valuable cap to obtain picks/prospects.

A 42nd overall getting max cap? Does this happen that often? I know there's no performance bonuses but still this seems like a lot. Don't get me wrong I do like this prospect but just haven't seen a 2nd rounder get max normally just 1sts.
