Sheldon is so predictable.</div></div>
U got to think logically why
Dont need another playmaker there u got Domi, dont need another netfront u got JT, Jarnkrok's the swissarmy knife who can just fill in for anyone

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>I mean, 6/8 playoff series would be the same in a 1v8 format, considering how the current format is more interesting rivalry wise, it makes sense to keep it</div></div>
For pure Chaos should explore KHL format
R1 is the same as what we currently see R2 you face the Central or Pacific. Basically East vs. West
Its made for some crazy stuff this year in the KHL

Someone asked why I feel NHL playoff format needs a change
R1: EDM vs. LA 3 times in a row be a pretty compelling argument

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LeafsFanForSomeReason</b></div><div>That's about the value I'd say. Not sure if the Leafs would want to do it though. He's a young, cost controlled RD who has performed well for them.</div></div>
If I was to move him I would look at a hockey trade. No picks like Sandin
Like not saying either would do but if OTT called and offered Pinto I would have to ponder it
But thats the kind of trade I would eye. Someone who can play C and when JT's gone push into the 2c spot

Forgot to mention this I think Brady's comments are both a plea and a warning to management
Make a strong competitive team so we can make the playoffs 2025-2026 or I will be forced to request out
I know he said he trusts management but his comments of 6 years is very telling. Its like Eichel eventually enough is enough
If it comes to that OTT gonna be very interesting to watch in terms of what they get back

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>fangm</b></div><div>Yea, no reason to spend upfront. Money should be going to the D core.
McMann, Robertson, Holmberg, Knies and maybe Minten can fill key roles.
I'd also move Kampf and Jarnkrok, with the cap going up both should have some value.</div></div>
0 need to move either
Kampf value is borderline capdump if they want to trade. Look what Van had to give to move Dickinson. Since we got Dewar hes been better and whether Reaves plays or someone else been happy with the second half 4th line. Jarnkrok when healthy is useful can play everywhere and we need guys like that.
Cant just be all kids in the lineup need veterans to in order to fill some roles. Otherwise other issues arise

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_Habs_fan</b></div><div>Like the Thrashers before them, ownership failed to Yotes and now the team will move. Meruelo was a problem, he should not get a 2nd chance at a team, Arizona should though, like Atlanta, they have the fans and metro area to have a successful team, it will depends on ownership and a good arena but they can be a good spot</div></div>
Totally agree
Heck him not being there yesterday and at the end coming out and saying im sorry I failed yah was the final nail in the coffin
I hope he dont get land for an Arena in Phoenix as to bring another failure to ARI
If ARI wants another team it cannot be under that man, sell to someone who could actually get it done like maybe the Suns owner or something
But then again maybe its just time for the ARI book to be closed permanently

Idk I could see Brad do it. JT comes off the books 2025-2026
If Chycrun was willing to sign an Forsling type Deal its interesting

If im Chicago I target Chycrun and Necas for trade this OS (at the draft)
Keep their picks but use the extra picks as this draft is kind of weak after the top 10-15
Getting Necas and signing him to an 8 year extension to play with Bedard is smart
Chycrun I could also see fitting in well and signing a long term deal

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>seanrushton</b></div><div>I think that small defensemen work they just need to be very technically sound... Spurgeon, Orlov, and Fox come to mind.</div></div>
Trust me unless your name is Makar not many teams have used Small Dman and won cups in recent years
Other than the Avs everyone's big
And Orlov may be a bit short but 214 pounds makes up for it. Wild meanwhile no cup with Spurgeon and while it could work with him he would be an exception and fox is up there with Makar but still no cup out of it yet.
Having a football team on the backend makes it hard for opponents to get to the front of the net, create plays, among other things
We saw it during VGK run last year

Will say this Coyotes owner Meruelo should be ashamed of himself for not being there the final night of hockey in ARI
I hope he does not bring a team back or get an arena in 5 years and instead gives the rights to someone else (Suns Owner)
He failed them and after all the embarrassing stories with money 0 trust in him
