Feels like an overpay for #6 but I think CBJ would prefer Jiricek or Cooley to Nylander. We would have to replace Voracek (or risk having way too many soft D wingers and no space for prospects to play) and he offers better leadership/mentorship than Nylander.

The thing with Nylander is he's a UFA in 2 years, and can't extend until next summer. That will hurt his value. I think Leafs would get a better return if they trade him next summer.

As for the trade, value is there but unless CBJ are 100% sure Nylander extend with them next summer, i think they draft at 6.
