I don't think either of them are going anywhere but if we absolutely had to for financial reasons, this is the kind of deals I'd expect to see.
STL is a top tier team lacking Centres, Bozak is a quality C who would genuinely help them in their playoff push and run. Given STL's place in the standings right now, the 2nd round pick will likely be late 2nd round. Tommy Vannelli isn't a great prospect but he could be a solid 3rd pairing guy, or, given that he's from the same town as Jake Gardiner, maybe they work up some chemistry together and he thrives in a pairing with him.
Then send JVR to a team on the bubble of a wild card spot like SJ, get back a C whose played 200+ NHL games and is $2M+ cheaper than Bozak to fill in the empty slot in the middle. Bring back O'Regan in hopes he develops in to a quality centre who would fit in well with the young guys. Then a 3rd for good measure as JVR is a really good forward.
Leaves us with more than enough money to resign Carrick & Nylander, five picks in the first 3 rounds, and two new prospects. Bozak/JVR have been huge for this team but that's not a bad return if they have to go.
