Honestly, the game is pretty much at a stand still right now.
Nothing relevant will happen until at least NOV just before the NHL starts up again for next season.

That's not to say someone won't take you on, but the reality is nothing is happening in the game right now.

Question about your GM game.

Do you run it time wise as a 1 to 1 ratio or is it sped up? Like do you complete the season and start your offseason at the same time as the league, or are you doing it at like twice the pace?

We do trade deadline slightly later from irl, playoffs and off-season are done earlier than irl.

But everything takes place roughly on a year to year basis?
