I'm not going to be taking a GM role for V3. Hope you all enjoy the new game! I'll still be around on the Forums and V2 if that continues. I'd be interested in an AGM role if anyone is interested in having me. Also, my AGM @EthanK24 is available for anyone who would like to take him.

There's nothing going on with v2 right now, so can we start picking teams at least? I have no idea where the BOEG is at in the process of getting this together, but do we at least have the idea of teams available? That way all the GMs can research their rosters and prospect pools to prepare for the draft and free agency.

Team selection will be complete after 2 more confirmations from GMs on team preferences, or at 12pm ET tomorrow, whichever is first.

For the purpose of our game, Nick was free to choose any city he wanted to place his expansion team in.

He chose Houston.

What happens with UFAs in v3? Am i allowed to sign Tavares?

There will be a comprehensive set of rules / policy that will be released before the game begins. For now, I can tell you that UFA signings will be like a silent auction. Everyone will submit their bids and the player will sign the best deal on the table. The only home-team advantage that will exist is the ability to sign a player (that was owned by your team before the 2018 trade deadline) to 8 years instead of 7.

Will i have the option to match the best offer though?

As of right now, the answer is no. Certain policy items are still under review so you'll just have to wait until we release the full set of rules.
