Where I'm headed:
*Young* core headed to a cup run within 2 years. Our D core may be a bit weak now, but it should be poppin' by the time Chabot and even Juulsen grow.

Trade notes:
- Ho-Sang is playing good. Might truly break out this season. But I need better D. Give me an offer!
- Pouliot for one upper-mid pick (he'll bounce back to fringe 2RW level, just you see)

I assume the players you placed on LTIR are ones you no longer own, as I see a couple of free agents in there. Just take those players, trade them away to a team and put a note in the details that they were RL signings, not in game.

Thanks! I'm not exactly looking to push for a cup run just yet, probably more fitting for the following season. I'm interested in futures to restock some of the pipeline, or anything that can bolster my top 6 (not older than 33). I also have a Clarke MacArthur replacement in Benoit Pouliot, who will play 2LW in Buffalo this year. I'm willing to take a chance on MacArthur, so could we weave that into such a deal? Basically, here's the base.

I see no reason for me to downgrade from Trouba to Spurgeon in order to receive an old sub-par backup goalie. I like Spurgeon, but clearly not as much as JT did. A lot of trades he did made me raise a brow, so there's no point in basing previous trade conversations from now on.

As for MacArthur, I do appreciate what you've done. Unfortunately, I would rather place MacArthur on LTIR (I've got to ask the BOG if I can even do that?) and go with my depth options than take on Pouliot. I don't think he can accomplish much anymore, let alone a 2LW role.

You can't b/c he's healthy now and will remain healthy going into training camp. You can only LTIR him if he gets hurt again. Pouliot had a down year but would be a safer choice imo; I'm not super desperate to get rid of him, but is there anything else you need? Is there also anyone that I can add to Spurgeon to get Trouba?

Talked it over with IceGirl and I understand more how LTIR works. I don't dislike MacArthur, I just see him as expendable due to recent injuries. To me, it makes more sense to include him as a plus as part of a bigger trade. I won't be giving him for nothing, 'cause I rather either play him if he's healthy, or LTIR him if he's not.

Anybody in my top forward or defense lines will be hard to get, and this includes Orlov. The type of trade that'll entice me is a 2nd pairing LD (mid-aged) + A- prospect. Otherwise, I have no issues in standing pat with Orlov.
