                                            I don't have a spot for Beleskey. I'd likely have to bury him and then buy him out, whereas I can at least have Martin as a 6/7D with an outside chance of retiring early.
                                            If you really want it to be Beleskey, it would have to be another 2nd, but which one is optional.


                                            Ive been rethinking my plans with Martin and I think I will leave him at that spot for now. Beleskey is someone I would like to get rid of. If im correct, I believe that there is a 1.5 mill diff between Beleskey and Weircoch. Plus I might be wrong on this one but isnt Weircoch untradeable until the new year? What if I left the 3rd as is and added two decent prospects? By decent I mean two C+ prospects.

                                            Not convinced Blueger will ever be anything, but you can never have enough "shutdown" D because you never know which ones will work out and which will bust.

                                            It's the extra year on Beleskey that is the issue. I have at least 3 important signings after 2 years. I checked my projections and believe I can squeeze Beleskey in though. I may end up having to buy him out if it gets too tight, but I'll account for that.

                                            He hasn't been signed yet, but he was drafted recently (last year?). I'm taking a risk on him even signing at all, but I've picked up enough puck moving D and am a little low in the shutdown department for my prospect pool.

                                            I had planned to allow another buyout period prior to training camp, when we will be using waivers in the process anyway. I'll work on training camp details once UFA wave 2 is sorted out.

                                            As for the trade. I'm going to go ahead and say yes. I think there's enough value there to justify taking Beleskey.
