Hagelin and Pouliot are included,. Don't the Wings have enough cap problems without non value Hagelin.

While I agree DET wouldn't have much interest in Hagelin to say he is "non value" is crazy talk. He had an off season, mostly due to injuries, after having an amazing season and playoff. He's a consistent scorer, play off experienced beyond his years, still young at 28, and a world class PKer. If he were $3.8m people would see his value a little better.

He is expendable in PIT though because we are winger deep, and DET couldn't take a cap hit. They really need to dump salary as they've signed some STUPID contracts and some reasonable ones are simply not working out.

In Pens needed a centre and the Pens are winger deep. A Helm/Hagelin is more realistic.

I'm interested in whether or not you actually watch Penguin games or just look at statistics. From my perspective Komarov and Hagelin are somewhat similar in value with just a $1M difference and yet I doubt you'd be just giving away Komarov to whoever would want to take him. Hagelin had a rough season and was really banged up down the stretch and into the playoffs, but we are just one year away from him providing quite a bit to one of the hottest lines in the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs. One season doesn't make or break a player of Hagelin's potential.

I'm sorry but this just doesn't work from a cap perspective for Detroit and seems like a gross overpayment to the Wings for AA.

Actually Hagelin and his stats are pretty stats in the past four years. What I find silly in almost all these Hagelin trades is the trades go to teams who are near the cap or are rebuilding. The trades alway benefit the Pens. And 4m for a 3rd liner is getting to be steep.
I've said the same thing when Komarov has been traded to the such teams as the Coyotes and Avs just giving the Leafs cap space. Those trades don't happen.
So while I see the value of Komarov's play and Hagelin's play, their actual trading value is very low.

How in the word does this help Detroit out honestly? Even if AA gets $2 million Ouellet makes $1.25 million so that's a combined $3.25 million and Hagelin makes $4 million. This doesn't help Detroit's cap situation and we would want at least Sheary in return if AA is moved.
