Joe Thornton a signé un contrat de 1 ans d'une valeur de 8 000 000 $ avec les Sharks de San Jose, le 2 juill. 2017. Le contrat comporte un cap hit de 8 000 000 $.
Nope. This is legit. Somehow. I don't know how, maybe management got seriously high, but that just happened
The exchange for term is dollars. You've gotta figure this is just a quick cash grab for Thornton, who will likely leave for a contender after this year once the Sharks miss the playoffs.
This guy must have Dustin Brown as his agent, 8M is more than 1M per goal only having 7 . I like Jumbo Joe, I remember commenting when thought it was 6.5M, this is just too much. So will NHL act surprised when they have another lockout with these insane contracts ? Never seen a guy get a huge raise for having what was a crap season if anything. What did he have like 50 points, is this some retirement reward? Was some team offering him 10 million for 1 year that had to be outbid ?
