A 5'9" prospect with zero professional experience is better than someone who's already shown to be a star talent at the NHL level. You really should get me your dealers name, because he has the good stuff.

We're quite happy with our own crop of puck moving defensive prospects, and we knocked the Zegras selection out of the park, so unless some high potential forward is a main part of the deal (Slaf or Dach) were simply not interested in even entertaining trading him.

Would you REALLY trade Cole Caufield or Nick Suzuki without getting a 2024 first?

Right now, Olen Zellweger's stats are just as impressive as Lane Hutson's.

Hutson being the main piece in a Zegras proposal and Canadiens fans thinking they're the one losing.

They're incredibly impressive, but Hutson is doing it against men as a freshman in college. Zellweger is doing it as a D+2 against guys younger than him in junior. Big difference. Massive difference.

Zellweger also has an AHL playoff game under his belt, I might add.

Hutson is a level ahead of Zellweger IMO but I respect your opinion. Hutson is putting up similar numbers, with less experience, a year and a half younger, and is in a better league playing as a rookie

Zegras isn't a prospect and came with the pedigree of a top 10 selection. Huston is neither. To assume they have anywhere near the same value is fantasy land.

According to who? Who has actually redrafted the 2022 draft already? No one serious, since almost none of them have played in the NHL yet.

And yeah, redrafts from Z's year, most places have him going 3rd OA, including THG.

if that is the sole point you're taking from my argument, then I don't think you understand how to value prospects.

You’re trippin’

We have Zellweger — Hudson doesn’t hold the value to you as he does to us

We have multiple better LD prospects than Farrell

Armia is owed nearly 7 million still and guy can’t really do anything — negative value there

A pick in 2025 ain’t cutting it

You still sure I don’t know how to value prospects?
