Alright, let's break this down.
1: that a lot to give up for Hanifin, unless you are a playoff lock, the 24 1st is too valuable. Mints alone should be sufficient payment, but I at least get where you're coming from here. #1D don't grow on trees.
2: you're giving up a top prospect, a 1st, a2nd, a former first, and a guy who can outproduce almost all three of them combined, for three overly expensive bottom of the lineup players. Even just trading Strome for those three is an L, that trade is absolutely catastrophic.
3: I get it, but I also laugh at the idea that you're going to make a playoff push with other teams castoffs. It's not an outrageous price to pay for him so whatever.
4: Why restock the cupboards with picks if we're going for it? We also could have signed Duckair ourselves this off-season, easily could have beat the sharks offer.
I see what you tried to do here, but I think it was a lot of moves for not much, if any, gain. Personally, I think this roster stripped the offense to reinforce the D, but would do worse than our roster as constructed this season.
