As for the "we never wanted him" BS it's been widely reported that the Devils have had serious interest (maybe not at the price being asked) it's Devils fans who don't have interest. Fitz is the guy running the Devils and he has expressed interest in the past, so while you fans might not have interest, Devils clearly does.

As for the "we never wanted him" BS it's been widely reported that the Devils or Fitz have had serious interest (maybe not at the price being asked) it's Devils fans who don't have interest. Fitz is the guy running the Devils and he has expressed interest in the past, so while you fans might not have interest, Devils clearly does.

Please post the links to articles and reports you must have found stating there was any interest in the devils taking on one of the worst contracts in the league. I think everyone on this site would love to see whatever it is you are referencing .

I just listened as well. It's literally entirely speculation. "I don't think it's fair to link Anderson to New Jersey...does New Jersey need that?" is a direct quote from the episode
Not to mention, Meier does everything Anderson does and more, and 1000x better. This is a rumor from pre-Meier

Yeah... I could see CHI putting a claim in on Kovacevic if Zaitsev has been unbearably bad in camp. Not sure there is any untapped potential with him at 26 years old. But he could be a solid stop-gap, and possibly an affordable trade bait option at the TDL, if he plays well enough.
