Just throwing some names out. Not thinking about salary.
Curious to see what people think it would take to get one of these guys
Or maybe they sign someone to try to fill P.B’s spot

Unless those are some high end prospects, an unproven goalie and a 1st isn't pulling a 40G 1C.

It’s a good start, but the prospects need to be worth something to the jets, which honestly, looking at the bruins prospects, they don’t have much. And what you do have, you understandably won’t want to move

These are terrible targets. Only one they should consider trading for is Lindholm, followed with an extension.

Otherwise they will ride it out and revisit top6 centers in free agency.

Prospects would probably have to be Regula and Beecher

It may be just me but I feel Hertl might be the better fit rather than Couture. Basically same salary but younger, will be productive longer, and maybe the Czech connection with Pasta helps. Obviously he would cost more than Couture though.

Hertl would definitely be the better target

Giving up crucial high end assets for Mark Scheifele is such a joke

Just wondering how 88gp 54 wins 9 SO’s 2.06 GAA .926 SV% (regular season stats only) and only 24 (which is the age most goalies just make it into the NHL) and was just apart of the tandem that won the Jennings is considered unproven?

Also in his career has a Goals Saved Above Expected of 33.

I’m pretty sure he’s on a similar if not better career start then Helly was to start his career.

Yes Boston is better then Winnipeg was at that time but Winnipeg had some solid dman at that type including some monsters of men that some played solid defence ( Buf, Myers-at his best, Trouba, Chariot, Morrissey, Stuart, Kulikov)

Buf/ Trouba/ Chariot all on one team isn’t exactly what I call a good time for opposing forward trying to cut into the middle of the ice

that's a gross amount to give up for Couture. Hertl maybe but even then i don't think i would do it.

88 games and not being able to hold down the starters job on his own, sounds unproven to me. Let him get a couple seasons play at a high level and then you can say he's proven, right now he could still go either way. Besides goalies just don't have a bunch of value in any circumstance.

A decent goalie can be had for a lot less than a 40G 1C.

Wouldn’t call it not being able to hold down the starters job, he plays nearly as much games as Ullmark has the last 2 season. Bruins are just smart and instead of rushing a young goalie in to fast they gave him a 1A/1B tandem to help his development.

Islanders did it with varlamov and sorokin
      Rangers with lundkvist and shestorkin
      Tampa with Bishop and Vasilevskiy
      Nashville with Rinne and Saros
      Boston with Thomas and Rask
      Vancouver with Luongo to Schneider
Then Miller To Markstrom to Demko

Vast majority of the top goalies of the last 10 years had a 1A/1B mentor situation to start their career and didn’t take over till there 24/25 age season so your excuse to swayman being unproven has been proven to work in years before.

Also schiefele has scored 40 goals once in his career and he’s a UFA who seems to have a high probability of leaving this next offseason and considering Helly also seems to be on the move or not wanting to sign an extension idk why you wouldn’t want swayman especially if he got almost half a season to work with Helly and learn from him

It's not that I wouldn't want to sign Swayman, it's that he may not want to sign and doesn't have enough value to get close to a 6 time PPG, 1 time 40G 1C. Goalies just don't have that value.
