OTT accepts, NSH declines. Saros for Cat will never happen, either NSH brings in Cat or we ship out Saros. No point in bringing in offense if we're giving up on goaltending. Trading Saros = a 1C, a 1RD, or a full rebuild of picks and prospects. Not another winger.

Center depth is terrible, goaltending is bad, but atleast we can score more.

saros will NEVER get NSH a 1c or a top 2 Dman, G are not worth that much, Sabers would NEVER have traded Eichel for Saros 1 for 1, NSH would have to add +++

Saros is far from generational, you need to look up what generational means, only 1 player in the NHL can be considered generational right now and it is McDavid, Crosby and Ovechkin are former Generational who are massively eclipsed by McDavid.

zero vezina's, but is a perennial candidate yearly, and just put up a 40+GSAA season. debrincat might get you one of saros' socks.

also, hart is about to be traded for a 1st+, and saros is like 3x the goalie hart is. hellebuyck is probably going to be traded for a 1st+, and he's on par with saros. so yeah.. your evaluation of goalies is way off the grid. if they get a 1st+, saros gets no less.

why would they trade Saros when they are trying to win? trading a player just to make a trade is dumb, NSH has no reason to trade him. Gs are too unpredictable to trade prime assets for, 1st round picks, top prospect, top 6 players, top 4 Dman ect, do you think if NJD would have know that after 3 years Schneider would have fallen off a cliff they would have traded 9th OA(Bo Horvat) for him, hell no.

teams do not trade "good" G because their are not worth the same os other positions do to G being a unstable/unpredictable positions and when a team has a "good" that works for them they keep them.

i had this exact same song and dance with you before, about Schneider, until you started ignoring me because you were proved wrong. schneider was top tier for three seasons then fell to average because the team in front of him sucked. then he got injured.

worth does not = what they will get in a trade, Hart is not worth a 1st+ don't mean a idiot Gm wont overpay for him. and BTW Hart IS mediocre, Forsberg has similar numbers so i guess according to you Forsberg is worth a 1st+

Tanner jeannot is not worth a 1st+ but that is what TBL gave up and its a realy bad trade

jeannot was moved for the whole house because nashville helped tampa dump cap fast and took mcdonagh's contract for pennies on the dollar, the jeannot trade was merely compensation for that. context athrin, context.

if hart isn't traded for a 1st+ (which is very unlikely) and you want a better conmparable, helle is going to be moved for a 1st+ and no less. genuine top goalie in the league. saros actually might have more value due to him being under contract for two more seasons.

and that IS what they are worth, no matter which way you spin your little narrative. a top goalie in the league is going to cost premium assets. like it or not.
