I think a Bratt for DeBrincat swap honestly would benefit both teams from a style perspective. Assuming DeBrincat would sign a long term extension that could work

If DeBrincat was willing to take less than Bratt's deal to be in a place he'd be happy, it would be interesting.

Right, but I think at this point hes got full control in that, he doesn't really need to take less to be happy. Word is he's given the sens a list of teams he likes. One of them will pay him.

I believe this as well. I think it less about money and more about location with Cat. He didn't seem to care for the Canadian lifestyle. Bratt wanting more than what Fitzgerald is willing to pay might get the ball rolling on this kind of deal.

Yea, I was pulling for him last year. Bratt and Cat are very similar in some ways. I think DeBrincat has some better defensive qualities and has a better shot. Bratt is more creative on the offensive side but can backcheck pretty well

Only way I could see happening is if they want vastly different term (ie, one wants 2-3 years and other wants max term). Otherwise, they are both getting similar contracts….so if unaffordable one place, probably unaffordable in the other too.
