Lindholm isn’t getting 3rd OA and Sillinger. Players on the last year of their contract don’t hold that much value on a they might extend. Columbus isn’t in a place where they can gable on a might extend. A 2024 1st (with slight protection) could be in play though.

Can you understand that Lindholm can't extend until after the draft? The Jackets would have to trade away 3 OA on faith that they can get Lindholm extended in which case they're wildly overpaying for him. Even with an extension in place 3 OA is not going to happen. Jarmo has put it out there that the pick is available for a U25 1C that can be extended long term.

COL isn’t doing that. Toffoli while good isn’t a real stylistic fit and let’s be honest in the off season there are always some wingers available. It isn’t awful and if they ran out of other center options they might consider it but not likely.

The AVS should definitely take that. I'm no fan of the trade, but Backlund is one of the best two way centers in the league, and Toffoli has a 3.4 GSVA on a one year deal. He's the perfect fit for Landeskog being out. The AVS would kill it next year and not have to worry about long term cap issues.
