Peterson already sent to LAK, but I'm betting they wished they had this about now.

Blackhawks fans really need to cool it with these terrible Canucks trades lmao
VAN is NOT moving down just to move 1 year of Tyler Myers lol

Add 35 OA and the Canucks maybe consider the first trade, depending on who’s there at 11

Canucks will easily pass on the Boeser trade

You guys did just see what it cost LAK, right?

Not that the trade above would/wouldn't happen. Just in general...it's going to take a lot to dump cap/salary.

The 19th and 35th OA picks combined are worth more than the 11th. So, where would VAN be paying for the Myers dump?

Ok, Mr. incessant Byram offer sheet and trying to get VAN's 2024 2nd back for nothing. Also, This all originated from VAN fans and was perpetuated by a VAN beat writer trying to work out cap dump prices and explore options. CHI fans are just rolling with it. If the rhetoric out of the Canucks front office means anything, it is that they DO NOT want to rebuild and do not want to wait for contracts to expire or prospects to develop. It seems like they want to move now, reload, and get back in the playoffs.

they retained money in order to give away a goalie, I could understand moving a low pick to get off 1 year but to move down in an extremely deep draft to get out of a single year? No chance

Wowzers!!! Just seeing that now! CHI probably would've taken Petersen for less, and CBJ overpaid for Proverov. Philly made out like bandits!

They paid a 2nd and Grans to dump Petersen (2x$5) and Walker (1x2.65), and retained 30% of Provorov's contract.

The difference is, those two contracts are actually owed $14.5 million in real cash, and when you minus the ~$5 mil cash they'll be paying Provorov, that's a $9.5 mil real cash dump.

Myers is owed $1 million after the bonus, and a team like Arizona or Anaheim is going to take his contract for a lot less to save on their own cash spending. Fans of both teams have already said they'd take him for a 3rd or a 4th round pick lol.

It's not quite the same, but I get where you're coming from. This just isn't going to happen though.

Sure. But have you considered the possibility that VAN ownership might not want to pay his bonus? Not saying that is the truth, but it's a possibility.

Yeah, TMyers post signing bonus shouldn't be that hard to move to AZ. If AZ is on his list...it gets more difficult.

is it a possibility tho? Vancouver's ownership issue really isn't about money, they have had no problem spending money in past years not sure why it would start now.

Yup, these are both really good points! It's a real wait and see situation honestly, but I think everyone sees Myers moving in some form or another eh
