Yeah Red Wing's drafting a LHD is shocking considering they have Edvinsson and Wallinder looking like top pairing capable LHD, with Johannson looking like a top 4 guy, and Walman looking like a stud.

Red Wings didn't win the cup this year, therefore, they're best served taking the BPA whenever they pick.

If you're insinuating that Gulyayev is the BPA, bruh. Even if he was BPA, will he be better than Edvinsson? No. Will he be better than Wallinder? Probably not. May be better than Johansson, but then that means we wasted 9OA for a 3rd pairing LHD while leaving holes in the top 6 or the right side.

The Blues are not doing any of that. Not taking Cristall at 10. Not taking three wingers in the 1st round. This is just a Habs wet dream in disguise.

Michkov most certainly falls to the 2nd round! Certainly no team takes a gamble on a player whose only worse than Bedard in this draft!

I wasn't insinuating anything, just love when fans try to claim who their GM will and won't take as though they possess some kind of inside knowledge. Last time I checked Edvinsson wasn't a star in the league and therefore if Yzerman decided he was the BPA then guess what.

Last I checked, Edvinsson is at minimum a top 10 prospect - realistically top 5.
Last I checked, Wallinder was Rogle's #1 D man at 20, logging 23+ minutes a night.
Last I checked, we have 2 RHFs younger than 23 in Raymond and Mazur.
Last I checked, our 2nd best RHD just left for Sweden because he knew he wouldn't crack the NHL lineup.

Last I remember, The Devils passed over Wright in the draft because they knew drafting another C is redundant. They didn't win the cup; why did they didnt they draft Wright?
