Depends who you ask Van fans think he is Prime Hasek. So they will be asking for Levi, first and Savoie.

His best season he was 9th in save percentage and unable to stay healthy. It should cost that much for him.

Buffalo's 2023 first and Philly's 2023 2nd round pick + Levi, just to ensure the Canucks don't hang up the phone.

Fans can think what they want, but the Canucks can get a draft pick for Myers without a sweetener if they wait until the TDL.

And if they were to make Demko available, which is a BIG if, you'd have at least 6 teams bidding for him.

Unfortunately, many people forget that the value of goalies in the league is not that high, and usually it's just an picks, many good goalies have been traded in recent years and there is no such value anywhere.

Goalie values are always tricky. Players I’d personally like include Kulich and Paterka, but I know those would most likely be off the table. Does Mittelstadt play down the middle or primarily on the wing? We do need a 3C. If we’re losing a goalie we’d want one back. Mittelstadt, UPL and swap 1sts? I could be way off, but that’s something I think I would be okay with. Still would want more because as stated above, we looove Demko lol.

Levi is not worth more than a top 6-8 goalie that’s in their prime and on a great contract

The Canucks aren’t rebuilding so it would take a huge overpay to get Demko. Their ask at the TDL was a 1st, a blue chip prospect, and a Raty level prospect

Kulich and Peterka are probably not available for such trade. Mittelstadt or Krebs maybe, although Mittelstadt started to play well when he was taken away from Olofsson and now his tradee would hurt our squad, as he can be good at least on the first line, even on the third. Krebs showed flashes but mostly played on the checking line and could get stuck on the bottom due to our attacking depth. I just read today that Demko might be available for trade on the draft, which is why I'm asking.

Maybe Krebs + UPL + #13 for Demko + Myers + #11

Well, goalies never get that kind of return, even good ones. I'm not saying Canucks should trade Demko, I just read that he might be available. But obviously the price you're talking about would look unrealistic for me.

That is reportedly what the Canucks were asking for at the TDL if they were gonna move him. While I don’t think they would get that, I think the minimum they consider is a blue chip prospect + either a 1st/Raty level prospect/solid roster player

I don’t hate Krebs, but I’m not sure a player going to his 3rd team before he turns 23 is a good thing. Certainly means he is liked, but also expendable.

Disagree, Krebs is a good young player and I would love to keep him, but he can also get stuck in our depth because we already have too many prospects. Krebs has definitely shown progress last season, he has become more physical, he has a perpetual motion engine, he is arguably the best playmaker on our team. He may very well be our 3C next season, but if there is a right deal I would be willing to trade him, but I don't want to trade him just like that. While I'm not saying Mittelstadt isn't available, for the right deal it could very well be. Although I like Krebs little more.

I will take you word for it since I only watched one Sabres game this year. I’ll have to keep an eye out for him in the future 👍

He has literally never had a season in top 8. He is not even close to top 8 right now.

Goalies way way way above Demko
Shesterkin
Sorokin
Saros
Vasilevskiy
Hellebuyck
Oettinger
Ullmark

Goalies arguably better

Hart
Bobrovsky
Gibson
Georgiev
Kuemper

Demko at 5v5
20/21: .925 SV%, 6.67 GSAA, 7.89 GSAx
21/22: .933 SV% (3rd best), 26.42 GSAA (1st), 19.81 GSAx (3rd)
22/23: .920 SV%, 4.43 GSAA, 7.14 GSAx
22/23 after return from injury: .930 SV%, 7.72 GSAA, 8.22 GSAx

2021/22 he was a top 5 goalie. His numbers get brought down because he plays in front of a historically bad PK and one of the worst defenses in the league. Put him on a team like Boston or Carolina that actually know how to defend and he’s probably a Vezina candidate year in year out. He’s in the 6-8 range with Ullmark and Oettinger

He has one good season. The biggest goalie trade in past 10 years was Ryan Miller. The return was a first (25th) and third basically. Demko was not even close to Miller level. Why do you think Demko is worth more then that?

Demko has had more than one good season. Also, Miller was a 34 year old pending UFA. Demko is in his prime and signed on a steal of a contract for 3 more seasons. The Canucks have no reason to move him unless it’s a big overpay

Also, Miller was traded for a 1st, a solid power forward who had been good for 15-20 goals, a prospect drafted 2nd round in the most recent draft, a fairly solid replacement goalie (who was then flipped), and a 3rd

Canucks literally traded a goalie for the 9th overall pick

In 2013 and he was literally the posting the best stats in the league for the 3 years before that. So again what make you think you could get more then 9th overall for Demko?

Demko is pretty much untouchable. Vancouver wants to contend and will not rebuild. Trading Demko would steer us towards either a major retool/rebuild, so it would take a massive overpay to get him out of Vancouver. The reported ask at the TDL for Demko was a 1st, blue chip prospect, and Raty like prospect. In my opinion, that's too much to pay for a goalie, but Vancouver has no reason to move Demko and as such they'd only move him for a massive overpay.
