Los Angeles is under greater cap pressure than Boston. Every trade has to be cap neutral for the Kings. Right now, neither Kupari nor Spence counts towards our cap at all.

No they are not. Not sure where this misconception is coming from. Pearson + Poolman to LTIR puts the Canucks 5 million under the cap. They can comfortably ice a 23 man roster. It might not be a good roster, but it is one that is under the cap

It allows teams to go over.

With those 2 on LTIR Van would have 5m to work with and 7 slots to fill. Pretty much the same boat Boston is in. The difference is your RFAs won’t put you over.

They have 18 signed players on their roster currently, it’s 5 not 7, i counted the 2 LTIRs, shouldn’t have. Oops. 🤷🏻‍♂️
