I beleive both deals are bad for Wings let alone those new contracts. Helly in not a kid and not paying a goalie that kind of money when he is in his late 30s. Like Debrincat but that is alot to get him and then to sign him to that kind of deal is not good cap management

Both trades are bad for Detroit. Any Helly trade wouldn’t make sense for Detroit due to age, contract wants, and Cossa coming up. And whoever gets DeBrincat will get him for significantly less. Ottawa isn’t getting back what they paid for him.
