If you get the Mangiapane of last season then sure but that’s the only time he’s shown that kind of goal scoring.

I’ve seen plenty of him since I’m a Habs fan and I’ve seen him against us. Mangiapane is a similar player in that he’s a streaky goal scorer. He is a career year last year when the Flames had Gaudreau and Tkachuk there and the offensive output was significantly better than it was this year. I doubt you’re going to see a 30 plus goal scorer again unless he was with an elite playmaker. Larkin is very good but not quite that good. I also don’t think Kubalik will be a 30 goal scorer again though like he was once in Chicago. Basically this trade is structured around Calgary moving out cap.

Kubalik is not great defensively, so that's a significant downgrade despite his performance at the worlds.

Nino is a good player, but giving up Zary for 1 year of him doesn't make much sense with this roster.

Wow…I like the UFA signings and the Tanev trade but a big No to Detroit trade as Mangi is better than Det guy, and No to Winnipeg trade is Neidereter is not an upgrade at all…Zary will be better than him.
