Description

After seeing CBJ take Smith at 3C due to worries about Carlsson as a centre long term, the Canucks jump on a chance to get him, trading up to pick 4. They select him and use Pettersson as a mentor to help develop him into their future 2C. They then view Miller as expendable and flip him for Nylander, adding another Swede to the roster. They also look to get into the late first to select Bonk by trading away Beauvillier, to give the team a solid future shutdown pair.
Along with signing Carson Soucy to help build the D.

Going into 2024 offseason, the Canucks make 2 major adds in Pesce and Toews, finally solving the D issue.

In 2025 they add Travis Konecny, Alex Wennberg, and Jake Debrusk, giving the Canucks 3 strong lines to make them true contenders.

Think you're being optimistic about the cap being at 95m. I can't see the Leafs having any interest in 8m X 7 Miller....if Nylander leaves as UFA, Leafs would prefer to have the cap.
I can't see Pesce a New York State guy who has spent his career in the cozy travel of the Metro division, signing with the Canucks.

Yeah i seriously doubt that the salary cap is increasing $12,500,000 in the next 3 years.

And sorry the 11OA Lekkerimaki and Podkolzin doesn't move you up 7 spots in a very deep draft. And besides Leo Carlsson is probably going to Columbus since they need highend C talent.
