Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

CBJ Trade;
Jackets add an offensive 1C for trading down from 3rd OA to 11th OA. VAN gets a prospect they covet in Carlsson and a depth C for the year.

ANA Trade;
Ducks get the better, younger forward to play with one of their high-end young centers and fill a positional need on RHD for one season with Myers (after Canucks pay his last bonus). VAN gets a middle-six Center and open up some more cap space.

Overall VAN gets an immediate downgrade at forward, but improves the D and backup goalie while adding a high-end prospect and lots of cap space. This would definitely constitute a “retool” or transition year for the team while the young core continues to establish itself.

I'ts not. Especially when you're squeezing in more assets like Jack Roslovic and dumping JT Miller.

3OA gonna be with the org for 15 years. JT Miller's got maybe 3 good years left and maybe 3 more NHL level ones after that.

Fair enough. But I do think some team will inquire about Miller before July 1st. There are zero UFA’s of his ability available this summer and some team will want to make a splash, so he’s definitely not a cap dump.

Van is the one asking for the 3rd in your agm, not cbj looking to move it. im sure they'd be happy with one of Carlsson, Michkov or Smith. theres a dropoff after the top 5, thats why its gonna cost more to get in top 5 rather than top 10.

as Miller doesn't have anywhere near that kind of value to move you up 8 spots.

VAN could add value to that Miller offer in other picks or prospects, but asking for Petey straight up makes no sense for VAN, let alone asking for him + the 11th OA. It’s a massive overpay that would be ridiculous for VAN to consider.

If it were a weaker draft like last years, I'd say you'd have a better chance but this year I doubt it. The hype alone has made every player in the top 10 basically untouchable from a trade perspective. Its no longer about giving the other team fair value anymore. Its about you losing the trade and giving them more than what the 3OV is really worth. So there is no point in trading for it anymore.

Pettersson for 3OV probably sounds silly but if i were CLB, that is the only ask I would be willing to do. Doesn't mean its fair value, just means I'd have to get such a sure thing superstar back like Pettersson for it to be worth potentially giving up on the next big star.

Miller alone would return a top 10 pick, so that’s a pretty good deal for Columbus. Anyone thinking Pettersson should be added you better be prepared to give up 3rd, Kent Johnson and jiricek then, if not more

Just because you said doesn't make it true. It's a delusional statement. Pettersson is amazing. He's not 3OA+Kent Johnson+Jiricek+"if not more" amazing. There is no trade that compels Columbus to make that deal.
