Isles won’t have interest in Brodie, their LD is set and they can sign mayfield for the 3.8 which would be brodies cap hit at 1.2 retained.

Don't see any real reason for Anaheim to do that. Regardless of them giving up on OEE, as the market is rn a 3rd, 4th and 6th isn't enough to take on that cap, especially for a team not in need of a veteran goalie.

I think there's a difference in making a move midseason for a guy that you think can help a deep playoff run if you have the surplus/luxury of giving up those assets. I don't remember whether NYR had assets to spare then, but Copp isn't a full season upgrade for the Avs and they really don't have a lot of prospects or picks in the cupboard. Parting with what little they have in those areas will have to be for a major upgrade guy.

Value likely isn't unfair on the Marner trade, but honestly it just tanks the Wings already weak depth way too much for them to consider it. They aren't in a position to make moves like that
