I understand the deal if you start from the premise that the Habs want to get out of the Anderson contract.

I don't think they do however. I think they like what he has to the team and while they are not closed to trading him, they are not going to give him away either.

habs dont need or want to give away anderson for free, and edmundson at a minimum gets flips for a 3rd or something if they want to move him. Murray costs more than Jarnkrok to dump

Jarnkrok is a 20 goal scorer on an affordable contract so you're not giving away anderson for free. Also, with Habs current dmen, two of Xhejak, Barron, Harris or Kovacevic will be sitting. Something has to give and IMO, Edmundson is the likeliest candidate to be moved. Having said that, I'd probably add in the 23' BOS 1st rounder to get this done.

Leafs would be ecstatic to make this move and would probably even add something more to get it done.

Fleury and Georgiev are probably the best comparables for Andersen so 3M isn't too far off.
