The absolute vary last thing Winnipeg needs is another LHD. So, they aren't going to retain for another one especially one that is on the small side.

If he's retained more than we paid if straight up a 2nd. Retention probably a 2nd and 4th. Jets don't need lhd so jones is not included unless he's exchanged for the 4th in the one deal.

I would be really surprised to see the Rangers go into next season without losing a significant piece this offseason.

K’Andre Miller is a major offer sheet candidate and will likely be pushing for a long term deal (which you’ve got the right idea on) as opposed to a bridge deal and it will likely take more than $5.5m to accomplish that. I could see a team offering upwards of $6.5m-$7m a year.

Everyone keeps saying that. But outside of his 1OA status, he hasn't performed all that different from Kakko or Chytil before they signed similar Bridge deals. I think $2.4M at this stage is in the ballpark.

What do Jets need?

Love Nino, and think he is a good fit.
I think if it takes 7mill for Miller we let another team do that. I love Miller, but the juice isn’t worth the squeeze for me.
I think we need Jones… we need another puck moving defenseman. And I think he could quarterback PP2 pretty well.
