OTT will take less to trade Cat out of the division just like they did with Hoffman, better chance Alfie comes out of retirement to play for Sens than Sens trade Cat to DET

Trading DeBrincat for 75 cents on the dollar just seems very counterproductive to me. rather try and find a swap for another RFA 1st line winger like Bratt

Trade makes no sense for Detroit. The difference between Kubalik and Cat is not a 1, 2 and 3. Wings would likely do 17 OV and Kubalik or Boston 2024 1st and Kubalik. I would rather just wait till UFA next year to sign Cat if he is interested in playing for Detroit.

There's no guarantee he'd even make it to UFA.
