Elias Lindholm > Sillinger+Bjork+LAs 2023 1st round pick 22nd overall. No reason for Calgary to make this trade. They can get far better for Lindholm.

He’s a rental. Sillinger has real high value. The pick is 22nd

And why would Roslovic play in Calgary? When he already forced himself out of Winnipeg he doesn't want to play in Canada he already made that abundantly clear.

Its 22 OA FYI, even though I don't think that would change your mind. But Cole + 22 OA is a great return IMO...

A rental for a Non-Playoff team, Yeah that makes tons of sense. And i forgot that with Florida advancing teams dropped.

Lindholm had 64pts this past year. He’s 28 with 1 year left on his deal. If they can get Sillinger + 22, that’s a great return .

He played with Gaudreau and he’d be the 1C. Columbus wasn’t as bad as they played last year, they weren’t even bottom 10 the year before

And why would Jarmo give up Cole for a 29 year old 2C in Elias Lindholm? Columbus isn't going anywhere any time soon. They're definitely not the 4th best team in the Metro.

I'd be looking to get either Johnson or Marchenko instead of Sillinger. Bjork doesn't really add anything to the trade. That or get CBJ's first instead of both Sillinger and LA's first.

Aside from that I think that the Flames are more likely to trade Lindholm for roster players instead of futures, that's why CBJ aren't the ideal trade partners. The Flames would probably use other future assets to bring someone like Schmaltz/PLD as a replacment.

Columbus will draft Leo Carlsson the eventual 1C and then Lindholm goes to 2C They're in no position to be giving up assets for aging players.

Sillinger was also rushed to the NHL, and eventually sent down. I'm not sure what he is, but he definitely has value. As for Lindholm he's a season removed from 82pts? and being 2nd in Selke voting. The trade also assumes Lindholm is extended, so you're trading more than just the 1 year like you did with Tkachuk.

He’s a rental but you put in the description that he signs an extension…

Flames aren’t rebuilding so they won’t want futures.

Lindholm sliding down to 2C with Carlsson at 1C makes so much sense for the jackets. They get a great 1-2 punch at center and build the wingers as well, this team could easily have a top 5 top 6 in the next 2 years

This seems like a good deal for both teams. Columbus is the best partner for Lindholm. They will do wonders battling Pittsburgh and the islanders for 4th place in the Metro

Their defense and goaltending is sub par. While lindholm will be good, they will be turning into Edmonton without 2 top 5 players.

Young productive centers are never traded. I'd think getting Sillinger back for Lindholm would be a "W"

We have one of the best defensive prospects core building up in the league. What you are seeing is the bandaid while we get those kids developed. The only true concern long term is Goalie health and Elvis getting back on track. Elvis has shown he can be a Vezina candidate if he can get out of his own head. The firework incident really ****ed him up and should show people that tramatic events take years to get through. Even if he says he's over it you are really never "over it". While we have issues with our 1/2 goalie our #3 is quietly developing a very strong game and has the best glove of anyone in our system if he can work on his athletism/laterals he could be our dark horse candidate next year.
