You could switch between Poulin and Puust, my main point is they need to try and inject some youth and see if either can bring or produce anything.
Compher's value is based on evolving hockey, and he's a really strong two way player.
Pac again is a gamble, but given where the team is i feel like a gamble is needed.
I think we've discussed this but the goalie market is brutal, Hill has had a strong playoff, idk man it's tough out there.
You already have Nylander there though. I get wanting youth - but pick one of Nylander/Puustinen and put them in the top 6 - that's enough to me. It's not like the Pens youth is great. I don't think we're in a position for any test runs with multiple prospects.
Yeah.... isn't Evolving Hockey the one that had Jarry at like 6x6.8 lol? Colorado might give him that contract since Landeskog is out - Pens should not get into a bidding war for Compher. 5x5.6 for a decent two way, 35-40 point scorer is not good.
The way I see it, it just seems you're doing a lot of gambling - Nylander, Pac, Poulin, Hill. To me that's a lot of unnecessary gambling.
The goalie market isn.t great for sure - but giving 4x4 to a guy who has never started more than 25 games in 6 years is a bit nutty imo.
You have a lot of cap space too. Swap Fast and Poulin, sign Jarry over Hill, and use you remining 3ish mil to sign another 3rd liner or add to Pacioretty's salary and get a good 2nd line W. Just my thoughts.
