Trading Guentz with 50% retention for the 28th pick, not a good deal. A couple of C prospects add nothing. These Pens are worse than last years.

JBD looks to be a bottom pair for the upcoming year with potential to fill in any role as required. Very versatile puck mover and not afraid to throw the body. Has potential in the future to be a good support guy to any skilled D man.

Thomson is similar, but seems to be a year or two behind right now.

JBD is pencilled in as D-Man 6 right now, Thomson would be 7 in the sens projected line up IMHO

JBD I really like as a guy who should play full minutes on the bottom pair this season, and may move up as he gets more comfortable. Thomson I'm less optimistic on. two-way guy that leans more on the side of offence, strong bomb from the point, but is only a decent puck mover for an offensive guy
