The only way the Jackets move the 3rd pick is for a young 1C

I think Columbus's need for a 1C outweighs overpayments at other positions.

Columbus can draft a centre with the third pick. Rasmussen is 24. While some big players have late surges in their development, he doesn't solve their problem.

This trade is over-convoluted. 3-way trades only make sense when there is a reason for a third team to be involved. Columbus can draft a blue chip center with the 3rd overall pick, and still acquire Debrincat from Ottawa. Columbus has the 22nd overall pick via the Kings. It's doubtful the Senators will get a huge return for Debrincat. Columbus should be able to acquire Debrincat around something like the 22nd overall pick, and then 1-3 B/C level assets (2nd, 3rd, prospect, etc...).

Tyler Boucher has very little trade value. Maybe a 3rd round pick to a team that is intrigued by his intangibles and the 1 percent chance he still becomes Tom Wilson lite. I can't see Ottawa getting two 1st round picks for Debrincat by throwing in Boucher.
