Can easily name 10 of the top of my head.
In no particular order..
McDavid, Draisaitl, MacKinnon, Kucherov, Matthew Tkachuk, Pastrnak, Rantanen, Point, Crosby, Marner, then you could argue Matthews.
You want to argue McDavid (as much as I disagree with you) fair, Mack and Drai are also fair. You also want to argue Makar, I'll give you that but besides that, there's not one player better than Matthews. I will counter you on every critique that could be used in a argument against each of those players above except for McDavid, Draisaitl, Mack and Makar because they are the other 4 that most people would put in the top 5:
Kucherov: Playoff performance: 2022-23 playoffs, RD. 1: was invisible the entire time.
Matthew Tkachuk: Playoff performance: every other playoff series except for 2022-23, RD. 1 and 3: much like Kucherov, was invisible in RD. 2 to the point where I though he was hurt
David Pasternak: Doesn't play tough, lack of defence, makes him easy to expose as FLO's defence did as the series went on
Rantenen: Doesn't play "playoff style hockey", has so much talent around him like Mack and Makar
Point: Didn't show up in this year's and last year's playoff (5 points in 9 games and 4 points in 7 games)
Crosby: Injury prone: He's 35 and has had at least 3 major concussions that we know of
Marner: disappears in the playoffs, lack of defence (before you say that he's nominated for the Selke; did he deserve it? Or is it a narrative the media trying to push? (Matthews, Barkov, Kopitar are better defensive players and yet they didn't get nominated... doesn't mean they are bad at defence)
