There are plenty of draft pick value charts online...And they would all tell you that this would be a ridiculous overpayment by the Wings. Pass.

How does Washington, who pick 8th, only add a second but Detroit who picks 9th add on the 17th overall pick. The same can be said about the St Louis trade, 10th and 25th.

I have seen a lot of wing’s fans propose this deal. Tbh, I would probably decline this deal if I was Kent Hughes. Too much of a drop between 5 and 9

Those are fans suggestions I have seen on this site. Value is not the same. Also, the point of this post is kinda to make fun of greedy Washington fans.

Draft valuation charts are based on actual trades or draft pick results so its a fair bet that the fairly closely align with teams internal draft pick values. The charts say it's worth a 2nd in the early 40s. We have 3; take your pick.

So if you are willing to take 8th + 40th picks from Washington then 9th + 41st + 42nd from Detroit should be plenty .
