The typical rate for a player at TDL is a player + pick + prospect is it not? And then you would probably add from there for a full year rental. Would goalies be any different? The rate would probably vary significantly if there was an extension in place too.

So with that in mind, you're probably a prospect short, no?

Hard to say what is “typical”. Starting goalies are rarely traded at deadline. Maybe one a year. Elite starting goalies…maybe last one was Ryan Miller 2014. So there is less of a track record for in-season goalie trades to project a return.

I’m getting the sense from Fitz’s end of the season presser that a move for goalie will not be made this off season. My belief is they will at least ride until the TDL with Vitek and Akira. We’ll see from there, but I think as it stands even if things don’t work out, Sorokin in UFA is best option summer of ‘24.
