Hellebuyck would be a real nice pickup for the Leafs, but I'd imagine the Jets ask for a lot more quality and a lot less quantity.

Honestly, every time a player probably doesnt resign. They lose alot of value. Ik samsanov is not as good. But he still played lights out for most of the season + playoffs. I think robertson + first works well and other B tier prospects. Honestly wouldnt mind trading lilly + robertson + first + sammy.

I dont think they trade any, they can keep them and probably will. even if leafs core team is still > winnipegs. Upgrading their D in free agency would make them way better contenders.

If robertson doesnt get traded he will probably end up playing 2nd line. In the end I wouldnt mind marner or nylander moving to get hellybuck.

Samsanov has played well. Hes not elite but hes definitely above avg.

It very much doesnt have to be arizona, and they would to hit the cap floor. Honestly they can take muzzin and cheat the system by having insurance pay most of it.

All AZ needs to do to hit the cap floor this season is sign their own RFA's and fill out their roster with young guys on ELC's. And I doubt any team is taking Murray for a 3rd.

As i said to another Leaf supporter, you folks are truly in a "world of hurt".

If you are interested in Helly, come to the table with a reasonable offer, the difference is massive. Sammy is a start, but far from what you think gets a completed deal... the other players you offered, great for our AHL team, but for the Jets, far from it.

Please look at it with some thought, starting with paying Helly his full salary, then look at the Leaf roster of 3 guys over 10M and 2 - 4 guys in the 7M bracket (include O'Reilly in that number) & then you have the rest of the roster... so who is left to trade or offer other teams...

I doubt orielly is back, I mean it’s fine. There’s no contender that will be moving pieces for him. And he will walk. Maybe Ottawa throws something. I’m fine with Sammy coming back
