Back to back 90 + point seasons, has one bad round of playoffs and suddenly everyone hates him. I don't think the Rangers touch this deal and I also don't think this deal helps the Caps at all.

Send Mantha to the Hawks with the BOS 2025 2nd round pick. If you want something minor back...sure. Reece Johnson? Help the depth/grit a bit?

Two bad playoffs. Was horrendous last year. Scores one OT goal and everyone forgets that he was a no-show the rest of the time. I think he's impossible to trade but I haven't been loving him in the playoffs.

Caps are in desperate need of a top 6 winger as they only had 2 20-goal scorers and 0 guys above 76 points this year (Ovi was leader at 75p)...

I've been on the trade panarin wagon for almost 2 years. He Is great player but slightly overpaid, imo should make 9m max. He seems to have an issue with playing with players he doesn't want to play with, kind of an entitled player. The Rangers should've stayed on corse of the "rebuild" and never signed panarin, trouba, trocheck. The cap hits are going to kill us.
