I’d trade Miller for someone like McNabb, Kolesar and Roy on Vegas. Sign Fast for the 3rd line. Bjustad as 4C. Buyout Goodrow and Trouba and sign Mayfield/ Gudas to play with Jones. D would look like Lindgren - Fox, McNabb - Schneider and Jones - Mayfield/Gudas.

Canucks decline. Not only do we not have the cap space for Goodrow, but we also don't have a roster spot for him. We're already dealing with a logjam at forward as is.

The Canucks want to get better right now and I doubt adding Goodrow fits the bill even if we are being paid to take him.

I'd be very surprised if the Caps haven't extended Wilson by the '24 trade deadline. The organization absolutely loves him and they have no plans to rebuild before Ovie hangs them up.

If he was moved though, especially at 50% retention, he'd get more than just a 1st in return, and they'd probably refuse to trade him in-division.
