From what I have heard from Caps and Wings fans, Mantha is lazy, and makes no effort defensively, so the Jets would basically be trading Scheifele for Scheifele, so a trade probably won't work.

As a jets fan I would do it. You get a higher pick in the draft as well as several more picks then at the trade deadline you can sell Mantha.

Jets accept in my opinion

Difference is, Scheif at 1C at least produces offense at a PPG rate. This trade only works in a rebuild scenario and WPG keeps their 1st.

That Gavrikov contract is super overpriced and Fehervary is gonna get paid way more than 1.5 in my opinion. I also don't even know what to make of the other trades lol. I would love to get rid of Mantha and replace him with Scheifele but I don't know if the Jets would go for it even with the draft pick upgrade.

For me the key to this is getting to 8oa, one spot in front of the Wings to snipe Reinbacher as a potential 1RHD for the next core.

We could chat about the other pieces and if that makes the most sense but I’d probably do this or something very close to it.
