Not sure I agree entirely, but it is a bad move for Pittsburgh.
Gauthier brings some size and physicality and Joseph is usually solid defensively, and both are relatively young. But neither are going to really move the needle.
Also worth noting that we'd need to spend even more money on top of for these guys for a backup, since I'm not sure any of our goalie prospects are NHL ready yet. Unless we want to trust Tokarski as G2 instead of G3.
